Introducing the Bobcat PG1140: High-Output Power for Demanding Jobsites

Bobcat Company has introduced the PG1140 portable generator, a high-output, towable solution built for construction, industrial, and emergency response applications. Designed to deliver reliable power while simplifying transport and setup, the PG1140 combines advanced technology, extended runtime, and rugged durability to meet the demands of today’s toughest jobsites.

Built for Power, Performance, and Jobsite Efficiency

The PG1140 represents a major step forward in portable power by combining two PG570 generators into a single 48-foot trailer. This integrated design allows operators to transport more power with fewer assets, reducing logistics costs while increasing on-site capability. For large-scale operations, this means fewer units to manage and faster deployment when power is needed most.

At the core of the PG1140 are dual Cummins X15 engines, engineered to deliver consistent, high-output performance. With Tier 4 Final emissions compliance and a design that eliminates exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), the generator maintains efficiency while simplifying maintenance. It’s also built to perform in extreme conditions, operating reliably in temperatures as low as -13°F (-25°C), making it a dependable option for year-round use.

Runtime is another key advantage. With more than 1,300 gallons of onboard fuel and 92 gallons of DEF, the PG1140 can operate for over 27 hours at 75% load. This extended runtime reduces the need for frequent refueling, helping crews stay focused on the job without unnecessary interruptions.

The generator’s oversized alternator provides consistent power output and supports high motor-start demands, making it well-suited for equipment with heavy electrical loads. Whether powering tools, jobsite infrastructure, or critical systems, the PG1140 delivers the capacity and reliability required for high-demand applications.

Beyond raw power, the PG1140 is designed with operator efficiency in mind. Its rugged trailer features high ground clearance for improved maneuverability, while modular safety railings and an integrated ladder provide safer and easier access for operators. The trailer also includes dedicated space for power distribution equipment, such as spider boxes and cabling, helping streamline setup and organization on site.

Ground-level access to controls and switchgear simplifies operation, allowing crews to manage setup, monitoring, and adjustments quickly and efficiently. The integrated load management system further enhances performance by optimizing power distribution while protecting both the generator and connected equipment.

Reliable Power for a Wide Range of Applications

For Bobcat GDN customers, the PG1140 offers a versatile solution for jobs that demand large-scale, dependable power. From commercial construction sites to industrial facilities and utility operations, the ability to deliver high output with extended runtime helps keep projects moving without interruption.

The generator is also well-suited for emergency response scenarios, where reliability and rapid deployment are critical. Its integrated design, efficient transport, and simplified setup allow teams to respond quickly while maintaining the power needed to support essential operations.

Looking Ahead

The introduction of the PG1140 reflects Bobcat’s continued focus on delivering solutions that combine performance, efficiency, and ease of use. As jobsite demands grow and power requirements increase, having reliable, high-capacity equipment becomes more important than ever.

With innovations like the PG1140, Bobcat is helping customers meet those demands with confidence—providing the tools needed to power through complex projects and keep operations running strong.
