The new Bobcat PG1140 portable generator delivers 1140 kVA of reliable power in a single towable package. Built with dual Cummins X15 engines, advanced load management, long runtime and trailer construction, the PG1140 provides high-output performance for construction, industrial and emergency use...

Bobcat Company has introduced the PG1140 portable generator—a high-output, towable power solution engineered for demanding construction, industrial and emergency response applications. Designed to deliver exceptional performance while simplifying logistics, the PG1140 combines rugged durability, advanced technology and high-efficiency output in one versatile package.

A High-Output Generator Built for Modern Jobsites

The PG1140 integrates two PG570 portable generators into a single 48-foot trailer, enabling operators to reduce transport expenses while gaining significantly more power on site. With dual Cummins X15 engines and the latest emissions technology, the generator operates without exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and maintains dependable performance in cold conditions down to -13°F (-25°C).

For jobs that require extended runtime, the PG1140 features more than 1,300 gallons of onboard fuel and 92 gallons of DEF, supporting over 27 hours of operation at 75% load. An oversized alternator ensures consistent output and provides the high starting capacity needed for equipment with heavy motor loads.

Designed for Efficiency, Safety and Operator Ease

The generator’s rugged towable design includes high ground clearance for maneuverability and modular safety railings with a ladder for improved operator access. The trailer also incorporates space for power distribution equipment—such as spider boxes and cabling—organized behind the switchgear to reduce onsite setup time.

Operators benefit from ground-accessible controls and switchgear, delivering a streamlined experience during setup, monitoring and operation. The PG1140’s comprehensive load management system enhances efficiency while protecting both the generator and connected equipment.
