The 61st annual Bobcat North Dakota Open delivered a memorable weekend of competitive golf, fundraising and community engagement at Rose Creek Golf Course. As a key stop on the Dakotas Tour, the tournament brought together top professionals and amateurs from across the region while continuing its mission of supporting the Fargo community.

This year’s event once again benefited The Village Family Service Center, a nonprofit organization offering counseling, mentoring, addiction recovery and essential behavioral health services for families across the region.

“The Bobcat North Dakota Open is a much-anticipated event for golf fans and for our community,” said Mike Ballweber, president of Doosan Bobcat North America. “We’re proud to celebrate 41 years as the tournament’s title sponsor and even prouder of the positive impact this event makes through our long-standing partnership with The Village.”

2025 Tournament Highlights

The tournament featured 50 professional golfers and 100 amateurs competing across three days of play. Community-focused events, including the Pro Junior Shoot Out, Pairings on the Patio and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Clinic, added to the weekend’s excitement and provided youth with meaningful opportunities to experience the game.

Angus Flanagan of Woking, England, claimed the 2025 title, marking his fourth professional win of the year and first victory at the Bobcat North Dakota Open. Former North Dakota State golfer Nate Deziel finished second, delivering the best professional performance of his career.

In the Amateur division, Chun-Ta Wu of New South Wales, Australia, finished at 11-under-par with a final-round 64. His score secured the amateur win and tied him for third place in the overall competition.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing top finishers, along with a check presentation highlighting the funds raised for The Village Family Service Center.

Making an Impact Beyond the Green

Since becoming the tournament’s lead sponsor in 1984, Bobcat Company has helped raise more than $2.4 million for The Village’s programs. These contributions help the organization expand its services and address the growing behavioral health needs across North Dakota and Minnesota.

“We are deeply grateful for the continued generosity and support from Bobcat Company and all tournament sponsors,” said Kelly Olson, president and CEO of The Village Family Service Center. “This event strengthens families, supports mental well-being and makes a lasting impact in the communities we serve.”

Major sponsors supporting the 2025 tournament included Bell Bank, Bremer Bank, D-S Beverages, J & M Printing, Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp and Redda Group.

A Tradition Rooted in Community

The Bobcat North Dakota Open remains a powerful example of Bobcat’s commitment to community involvement. Alongside employee volunteerism and charitable giving, the tournament continues to create positive change while celebrating the sport of golf and the people who shape the Fargo area.
