Bobcat Donates $150,000 to Support Local Parks

Bobcat Company has announced a $150,000 donation to the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) following the success of its #WorkWorthDoing social media campaign. The contribution supports NRPA’s mission of strengthening communities through accessible, vibrant parks and recreation spaces nationwide.

During Park and Recreation Month, Bobcat invited people across the country to share photos of Bobcat equipment in action—at parks, job sites or within their neighborhoods—tagging @BobcatCompany and using the hashtag #WorkWorthDoing. Each submission generated a donation, turning thousands of shared moments into a significant community investment.

“This campaign’s success shows what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose,” said Laura Ness Owens, chief marketing officer at Doosan Bobcat. “Every post was more than a photo—it represented a commitment to building stronger, more connected and more sustainable communities.”

This year’s NRPA theme, “Build Together, Play Together,” celebrated the professionals, volunteers and programs that support recreation opportunities and strengthen community well-being. The donation from Bobcat will help advance environmental preservation efforts and support the development of resilient public spaces.
