Bobcat Unveiled Its Next Evolution of Compact Loaders Designed to Empower Operators
Bobcat Company unveiled the next evolution of its compact loader lineup at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, introducing a smarter, simpler and more operator-focused approach to compact equipment. The newly enhanced lineup delivered more choice, more control and more technology across Bobcat’s expansive compact loader portfolio, including the new Classic and Pro loader categories, optional Jobsite Companion AI technology and new jobsite awareness systems powered by camera- and radar-based tools.
Bobcat Reorganized Its Compact Loader Lineup into Classic and Pro Categories
Bobcat realigned its compact loader lineup into two clear categories: Classic and Pro. The change was designed to make it easier for customers to choose the right machine based on their operation, application and technology needs. With a large portion of the U.S. construction workforce projected to retire by 2031, Bobcat used this launch to focus on equipment that could support operators of different experience levels through familiar controls, intuitive systems and simplified operation.
The new structure gave customers two paths:
Classic loaders for proven Bobcat performance, familiar controls and competitive pricing
Pro loaders for advanced technology, enhanced control, added comfort and future-ready features
This shift also gave Bobcat a way to release new innovations more often at the model level, instead of waiting for an entirely new series launch.
Classic Loaders Delivered Proven Performance with Familiar Controls
The Classic loader category focused on dependable Bobcat performance for customers who wanted familiar operation, strong value and proven capability. These machines were positioned as a strong fit for landscapers, rental fleets and general construction applications where simple, reliable performance matters every day.
Classic models included compact track loaders such as the T450, T595, T650 and T770, along with skid-steer loaders including the S70, S450, S590, S650 and S770. Operators benefited from familiar Bobcat controllability through selectable joystick controls or optional hand and foot controls. Classic models also included useful productivity and comfort features such as two-speed travel, automatic ride control, keyless ignition and a deluxe display with an optional integrated rear camera.
Pro Loaders Added More Control, Intelligence and Operator Comfort
The Pro loader category represented Bobcat’s more advanced compact loader offering, bringing new levels of control, agility, performance and technology to the jobsite. Pro models included compact track loaders such as the T64-2, T66-2, T76-2 and T86-2, as well as skid-steer loaders including the S64-2, S66-2, S76-2 and S86-2.
One of the biggest Pro advancements was the addition of four drive modes, giving operators more control over how the machine responds:
Balanced: smooth, predictable response for grading, material placement and confined jobsites
Agile: versatile everyday control for mixed applications
Dynamic: quicker response for high-productivity work and faster cycle times
Charged: maximum responsiveness and speed for experienced operators in open areas
Bobcat also improved the Pro lineup with structural optimizations for better agility, redesigned electrical systems for improved reliability and refreshed interiors with heated air ride seats, added storage and an intuitive 8-inch touchscreen display with infotainment and an integrated rear camera. The T86-2 and S86-2 set a new benchmark in the lineup with 115 horsepower and a 12-foot lift height, giving operators more strength and capability for demanding jobs.
Jobsite Companion and Awareness Systems Expanded Bobcat’s Operator-Focused Technology
Bobcat also introduced new technology options designed to simplify operation and improve jobsite awareness. Jobsite Companion, available as an option on Pro loaders in the U.S., became the first AI-enabled solution in the compact equipment industry. It allowed operators to use voice commands, automate attachment settings and manage more than 50 machine functions while keeping their hands on the controls. The system also included a job cost dashboard that compared operating costs against job estimates, helping owners turn machine hours into clearer profitability insight.
Bobcat also introduced jobsite awareness technology options for Pro loaders in the U.S. and Canada. The new Bobcat View camera options offered either a rear view or a broader-area view covering the rear and sides of the machine. Bobcat Sense Detection Systems added two more awareness tools: Rear Object Detection and Avoidance, a radar-based system that could detect people or objects behind the machine and alert the operator or slow or stop the loader, and 360 People Detection, a camera-based system that identified people around the machine and alerted the operator without intervening in machine motion.
The newly enhanced loader models were shown at Bobcat’s booth W40745 in the West Hall during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, with select North American dealership availability beginning in summer 2026.
